Recruited by Forbes.com to conceptualize and oversee the launch of ForbesAutos.com, which went live in May 2005. Hired entire staff, contracted all vendors and site partners, created site schematic and editorial calendar. Currently responsible for overall luxury vehicle portal strategy development, content and data acquisition and ongoing website development.
- Conceptualize all major editorial, design and site dev initiatives, including Buyer’s Guides and Recommendations, Luxury Automotive Finder toolset, YMM-driven vehicle asset and attribute database and best-of-breed Reviews that address the needs of the affluent in-market automotive consumer
- Oversee SEO initiatives and audience-development efforts
- Frequently represent the site as consumer spokesperson; a regular guest on Forbes on Radio; have been interviewed for numerous print and broadcast reports on automotive topics of consumer interest
Pre-launch initiatives included:
- Leveraging extensive automotive freelancer network to quickly develop high-quality original editorial content from high-profile contributors
- Spearheading the development of enterprise-wide tools, such as an Image Management System, that will increase value of multimedia assets
- Expanding revenue stream by negotiating pay-per-completed-lead and FSBO revenue share deals between former employer (cars.com) and Forbes.com Inc.
- Ceating custom units for our ad sales team that are already sold out through the end of 2006; more than $1M worth of IAB-standard units already booked.
